Modern Boho Spring Decor

Whether you’re a holiday decorator, seasonal decorator, or both, your decor should remain consistent with the standard style of your home throughout the year.

For example, I would describe my home as being mostly modern bohemian with vintage flares. I like to incorporate natural wood elements, lots of plants, mixed textures, passed down pieces, and gold. So when it comes to my seasonal decorating, I keep that style in mind. Filling my home with pastels eggs and antique bunny figurines would feel severely out of place and forced. Instead, I like to incorporate modern, boho spring items to still bring in a pop of color and the life of spring while staying consistent with the style of my home.

If you love the modern boho style, consider incorporating plenty of plants, bright, textured pillows, colorful, modern tea towels, and light, airy throws. These elements will bring a fresh feel to your home without it feeling too “Eastery” (Trust me. It’s a word…at least in my vocabulary.)

Planters

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

Macrame plant hangers are super popular right now. You can easily add lively green plants in any corner of your home while keeping the boho-vibe going strong. Also consider concrete, gold/copper, and geometric shapes to your decor. Planters that suit your style can be switched up for any season. I love a good, hard-working decor item that I don’t have to store away when it’s not a particular season. All you have to do is change the plants or move it to a different space for each season.

Pillows

5 / 6 / 7

Pillows are such an easy item to change out throughout the year. For spring, I love the idea of adding white and pastel pillows with tons of texture. These can obviously be used throughout the year, but pops of color and/or pastels are so fun for spring.

Tea Towels

8 / 9 / 10

I’m pretty sure I have a tea towel for every season. I love a good, quirky tea towel. It’s such an easy way change out your kitchen decor for each season and also express your personality. I love these printed tea towels from The Ahlgren Collage Etsy shop.

Throws

11 / 12

Everyone has their favorite blanket no matter the season. I still have an old, peely blanket from my college days that remains in the living room because it’s my absolute favorite. But if you’re looking to bring in the fresh, airy touches of spring into your living space, I love the these neutral, light tassel throws. You can store your beautiful chunky knit winter blankets in a safe place while these light, cotton blankets fill the space for a few months.

Florals

An inexpensive route to take when incorporating spring decor is just to add fresh spring flowers to the items you already own. I’m a traditionalist when it comes to spring flowers. I adore draping, bright tulips, dahlias, and forsythia branches. These are items that you can cut straight from your flowers beds or find in many grocery stores and nurseries right now. Think outside the box when it comes to vases. Consider using jars, pitchers, or other decorative containers you already own.
