April Highlights: ORC Edition

It’s the last weekend in April! For me and 200+ home décor bloggers, we’ve been knee-deep in the One Room Challenge all month. We just finished week 4 of the 6 week challenge, so since we’re more than half way done, I thought it would it would fun to share 4 of my favorite projects so far. The 6th week is the full room reveal, but until then, bloggers are sharing specific projects, DIYs, and stories along the way.

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

I’m no math wiz, but 200+ posts every week for 4 weeks is more than 800 posts that have been shared so far! It was tough to narrow it down to 4 in order to stick with my monthly highlights theme of choosing 4 products. These four projects are so unique, lovely, and eye-catching that I just had to share them with you.

  1. Wall Stenciling How-To | Kim Power Style

Kim at Kim Power Style took wall stenciling to a whole new level. I was super impressed with her board and batten from week 2, and then she topped it with this gorgeous cobalt floral stencil! I need to find a room in my home for this exact stencil asap.

2. Herringbone Feature Wall | The Leslie Style

Though this project isn’t complete yet, how amazing is the millwork on this fireplace feature wall? I can definitely visualize the finished product, and it’s absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to follow along as they paint and style this room.

3. Floor to Ceiling Board and Batten | Seeking Lavender Lane

Are you seeing a theme yet? A feature wall done right can elevate a room like nothing else. When Patrick and I visited Tahoe last year, we stayed at Sunny Side Lodge and they had this exact design on their walls. I immediately wanted to recreate it, so when I saw this post, it took me back to our amazing time in Tahoe! It’s such a classic and refreshing design.

4. DIY Barn Door – Southern Revivals

I’ve been wanting a sliding barn door for my laundry room since we moved in, but we just don’t have enough room. Jamie at Southern Revivals shares her beautiful barn door with an excellent tutorial and lessons learned! It has definitely made my barn door love resurface.

Have you been following along with this spring’s One Room Challenge? What has been your favorite room so far?
