Since when did March become on of the busiest months of the year? It’s been filled spending weekends with family and friends and showering love on our Baby Girl. April will be the last full month we have before she’s here! It’s hard to believe.
During this busy month, there’s been a few things that have caught my attention and quickly became obsessions.

1. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
I’m typically a drugstore make-up hoarder, but every once in a while I’ll splurge. I’ve seen nearly every beauty blogger talk about Tarte Shape Tape concealer, so when Ulta was having a promotion, I treated myself.
Concealer is one of those products where my expectations are high. I consider it to be a miracle worker if it’s done right, and the Shape Tape is done right! It goes on fairly thick, so I only need a couple dots under my eyes and any other blemish or problem areas and it lasts all day without wearing off. It comes in a fairly large tube, so I’m sure it will last longer than the expiration. I blend it out with my damp Real Techniques beauty sponge that I raved about in my 2016 Beauty Favorites. To me, it’s well worth price if it’s going to perform exactly the way I expect. I would absolutely repurchase!
2. 15 Minute Healthy Roasted Chicken and Veggies – Gimme Delicious
This has been my go-to meal when I don’t know what else to make for dinner. I’ve seriously made it 3 or 4 times this month, and I’m usually the type to mix it up when it comes to cooking. It’s so quick, easy, flavorful, and healthy. It’s also a great option while we wait for summer grilling season.
I typically always keep individually wrapped chicken breast in the freezer and assorted veggies in the fridge, so as long as I remember to thaw the chicken, it’s a quick meal. I mix the veggies up depending on what I have on hand, but I always at least use peppers and onions. Zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms, or yellow squash would also be great veggie add-ins. I’ve served this several different sides: sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, or it’s great just by itself.
You’ve got to go to Gimme Delicious and pin this recipe for later!
3. Tulips
Back in my college days in Spanish class, the teacher asked us to tell the class what our favorite thing is about spring but it had to be in Spanish. The only thing I could think about were the blooming tulips that filled the quad as I walked to class. I didn’t know the Spanish word for tulip, or most other words for that fact, so I excruciatingly stumbled as I recited my joys for spring tulips to the entire class in Spanish. I like to make my life as difficult as possible.
Tulips are still one of my favorite flowers. With the early warm weather we’ve been having, most of our tulips are in full bloom by now. I fill every vase and container with them until I’ve cut them all or they’re no longer in bloom. My only complaint: tulip season does not last nearly long enough!
4. Turkish Towels
It’s interesting to look at one of your Pinterest boards, and you see the same element in nearly every picture. Whenever I pin a bathroom image to my Bathroom Ideas board, a Turkish towel is typically somewhere hidden in the photo. I just realized I’m obsessed with these as I was scrolling through my pins this week. Who knew?
Turkish towels are lightweight, 100% cotton typically with tassels or fringe on the ends.
I want to fill my bathrooms and linen closets with all the Turkish towels!
I’ve found several great options on Amazon and also a great sale on several stunning Turkish towels from The Longest Thread Etsy Shop.
