(Disclaimer: PinkBlush gifted me with this item, but all opinions and reviews are 100% my own.)
When it comes to maternity wear, it has to meet two requirements before I commit to it: 1 | Comfortable – growing pregnant bodies are uncomfortable enough. The last thing I want is uncomfortable clothes. 2 | Practical – I love items that can be worn while pregnant, postpartum, and beyond!
With that said, we all have that one staple clothing item for each season. Whether it be the chunky knit sweater in winter, long light weight cardigan for spring, the blousy tank that goes with everything in summer, or the softest light sweater that is a layering essential in fall, we all have our favorites. With a growing 31 week belly and 9 weeks to go into fall, I’ve found MY shirt.
I now own several items from PinkBlush (the ultimate online maternity store) and have been impressed with every single one. This extra soft, light-weight maternity sweater is no exception. It met both requirements: 1 | incredibly comfortable, and 2 | it can be worn throughout the colder months of postpartum ahead.
Burgundy Pocketed Dolman Sweater – PinkBlush
With the girls’ rooms wrapping up (you’re welcome for the sneak peeks 😉 ), and the third trimester aches, pains, and exhaustion setting in, the last thing I want to do it spend time filing through my closet for something that fits and actually looks pulled together. There are so many ways to wear this maternity sweater even when you’re not pregnant. (Bonus: it comes in 9 colors!)
1 – throw a denim jacket over it.
2 – wrap on a cozy scarf.
3 – belt it over a dress
4 – dress it down with your most comfy leggings and sneakers
5 – dress it up with dark maternity jeans, gold necklace, and wedges
Practical pieces not only fill my home, but I try to make sure nearly every piece in my closet can be worn in multiple ways to really expand my wardrobe yet have less clothes. You can shop all of PinkBlush’s Maternity selection HERE.
Girls’ Rooms Update
So I can’t wrap up this post without mentioning the girls’ rooms and giving you a quick update. For the toddler room, we just have the window trim and blinds to hang before the big reveal. And the revamped nursery just needs a mattress and sheets before it’s ready to go! Also, did you notice the amazing antique gold crib?!? More on that in a few weeks!
Make to sure follow along on my Instagram for daily updates on the room reveals and when they will go live. These rooms have been two of my favorite spaces to design because they’re for my two hearts!
