Where did the year go? The older I get, the truer that question becomes. 2018 was a good year in more reasons than it being an even number. There were several products in my life that I now would have a hard time living without. And if I can’t live without them, then they must be worth sharing with you, my friends and fun little blogging community!

Beauty Counter
I’ve developed a slight obsession with Beauty Counter over the past year, which is bad and good. Bad because it costs quite a bit more than I’m used to spending on skin care. Good because I can trust what I’m putting on my skin and it’s top-notch quality.
Though I love several skin care products from Beauty Counter, my most recent favorite products are makeup.
The Cream Blusher in Caramel leaves a dewy warmth (sounds kind of gross) on my cheeks all day long. It can also be doubled as a matte lipstick! Like with all of BC’s products, a little bit goes a LONG ways.
The other makeup product I’ve been enjoying tons is their Color Intense Lipstick. It’s incredibly moisturizing, has a natural pepperminty flavor, and stays on for hours! I personally have the color Brunch, which is a great everyday color for someone with fairer skin, but I’d love to try out a few of their bolder colors.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter
If you want to get one thing that I mention on this post, let it be this! Essence Highlight in Be My Highlight is the one makeup product I use nearly daily. It livens up my tired face by adding just enough glow without adding glitter or making me look like a Youtube makeup guru wannabe. Y’all, the best part is it’s less than $5! I have two just in case they stop selling it. It’s a real obsession.
Shea Moisture Leave-In-Conditioner
I’m not a huge hair product gal. I like to keep it simple and not build up too much product in my hair since I go days in between washing. The Shea Moisture Leave-in-Conditioner is nearly a dupe to the oh-so-famous It’s A 10. It leaves my hair feeling soft, frizz-free, and shiny for several days. It’s a one and done hair product for me, which is my kind of product.
Phone Cord Hair Ties
Where have these been my whole life? A hair tie that hold my hair, doesn’t leave a crease, and never looses its shape! These things will last forever, or until your 1-year-old hides them in mysterious places.
Yogi Tea
2019 is the year of healing for me. Healing my gut and healing my anxious mind, which go hand-in-hand. My doctor practices lifestyle/functional medicine and suggested I drink Yogi Tea Tangerine instead of coffee in the mornings. Yes, I gave up my precious cup of coffee for this stuff! It has a tiny bit of caffeine in it to get my going and Ashwagandha Root which is a natural mood lifter. If you’re looking for a coffee alternative that will naturally lift your mood, give you a bit of caffeine, and fill that warm drink need in the mornings, try some Yogi Tea.
