Let’s start at the front door. A door mat is one of the quickest, most inexpensive ways to change up your curb appeal for each season. It’s also a fun way to highlight your sense of humor right from the start.
When I think of fall, Halloween obviously comes to mind, and with Halloween comes Hocus Pocus. I steer far from anything spooky, scary, or ghostly at all times of the year. I’m pretty much scared of my own shadow. Hocus Pocus is about as scary as it gets for me, so it’s not Halloween without an annual viewing of this movie.
As we move inside, consider changing out your art with a few fall/Halloween inspired pieces. Art is one of the things people notice most in your home because it’s eye level. Why not make it fun and even more eye-catching with each change of the season?
I love the subtle references to Hocus Pocus in these prints. I would be tempted to leave them up all year long!

Needle point art has really made a revival in the last few years. The hilarious statements and pictures that these artists use gives the lost art a whole new life.
The kitchen is one of my favorite places to add a touch of fall in my home. Changing out the dish towels, dusting off the fall mugs, and thoughtfully displaying plush pumpkins are just a few of the many ways to bring the charm of fall into the heart of your home.
Lastly, you can’t call it a successful fall season without a fall scented candle and a cozy spot to lay your head.
